Bas Rutten is the former UFC heavyweight champion of the world and one of the sport’s pioneers from the early days. He was really one of the first guys to successfully use a striking-based attack to defeat many of his opponents but also very importantly had the grappling skills to back him up.
Bas is also known for his unique, one of a kind sense of humor that he displayed in his famous ‘Bas Rutten street fighting’ videos that went viral several years back.
In the following video we get to see some more of Bas Rutten’s original style of humor in his new sketch comedy web series entitled ‘The Bas Rutten Experiment.’

In the inaugural episode of the series we see Bas trying to convince his agents that the show is going to be a hit in a number of humorous sketches.
One of the funny clips include Bas Rutten showing how to defrost a turkey like an MMA fighter – by beating it into submission of course.
Also included is a tutorial on what not to say to an MMA fighter in one of the more funny segments from the episode. Some of Bas’ suggestions include not annoying a fighter when they are cutting weight as well as not asking a famous fighter to sign a bunch of stuff. He also recommends that if you choose to approach a fighter, make sure you know a thing or two about them first to prevent any awkwardness.
