German police posted on Facebook that 7,000 passengers were stranded at a Frankfurt airport after nighttime flights were canceled, and one passenger got into a physical altercation with police.

“Due to the bad weather in the night from Friday to Saturday flights were cancelled,” the police posted. “Several thousand passengers were stranded at the airport.

“A 38-year-old English passenger (who wanted to fly to England) was at the info desk and verbally attacked an airline employee. In addition, members of the federal police attempted to calm the situation down. Unfortunately without success – it suddenly came to a physical confrontation of colleagues with the passenger, as seen in the video.

“The colleagues and the passenger were slightly injured. Frankfurt police are investigating the English passenger over an alleged assault.”

“The attacker was an Englishman who was worried about his wife. She had circulatory problems.”

The police also noted the incident was not terror related.

In the next telling of the story, the couple was complaining about the flight delays when security had knocked over the man’s wife. He then shouted “‘I am a British citizen!” and knocked a total of three police officers to the ground.

Suddenly, struck by a taser, he slumps and drops to the ground, as two women in headscarves, thought to be known to the man, hover over him.

When Polish rapper Schwesta Ewa posted the video on her social network, a third description of the fight emerged.

Now the man was a possibly retired British MMA fighter. And as the telling goes, the altercation began when two German police officers tried to peek under his wife’s niqab. The man then allegedly strenuously objected to male officers searching his wife, an argument broke out, and the wife fainted. And then it kicked off.

Regardless of the truth of the story, the man in question did get into a physical altercation with three police. Whatever the issues involved, this is not a wise course of action.
