DREAM is a Japanese organization that grew to be one of the world’s top promotions following the sale of PRIDE FC to Zuffa. Although it put on some world class fights with some of the world’s best athletes, it also put on some ‘freakshow’ fights that were favorites of the Japanese fans.
One such match took place at Dream.11 where Japanese favorite Ikuhisa Minowa took on Hong Man Choi. Minowa is a 5’11” middleweight and Choi was 7’2″ and weighed over 300 lbs.

Ikuhisa Minowa (born January 12, 1976 in Hashima, Gifu) is a Japanese mixed martial artist and professional wrestler currently competing in IGF as Minowaman. He was a longtime veteran of PRIDE and Pancrase and has also competed in other mixed martial arts promotions such as K-1 Hero’s, Cage Rage, UFC, DREAM, and DEEP. He is the former DREAM Super Hulk Tournament Champion.

Choi Hong-man (Korean: 최홍만, Hanja: 崔洪萬, born on October 30, 1980 in Jeju-do), often anglicised to Hong-man Choi, is a South Korean kickboxer, mixed martial artist and former ssireum wrestler. In Asia he is called “Che Man”, “Korean Monster” and “Korean Colossus”. He currently competes in K-1 and Dream and stands 2.18 m (7 ft 2 in) and weighs 143 kg (315 lb).
