Back in a time before mixed martial arts was considered a real sport, there were often one night tournaments where competitors would fight multiple times in a single evening to prove that they were the best.
Bruce Antonio (the karate expert) had already fought once earlier in the evening, losing his bout. But when the man who beat him decided to leave in the middle of the competition, Bruce bravely stepped up, showcasing his Bushido by accepting the second fight against an even more dangerous opponent than his first.

When the two meet in the center of the cage, the size difference between them is as clear as day. Then, as the bell rings, we are able to see how much different their styles are, with the karate fighter throwing spin kicks and the marine looking to use a much more grappling centered approach.
The two dance around the center of the cage for a few moments, but the moment they clinch the marine is able to take control by landing a takedown. Once he establishes his top position, he begins to rain down ground and pound violently while looking to move to a submission finish.
The marine locks up an Americana from top-half guard, giving up his base in the process and allowing himself to be swept by the smaller fighter, but once on his back he is able to recover guard to effectively defend himself while patiently waiting for his next opportunity.
