In July 7thof 2016, an MMA bout for the featherweight division astonished the crowd at Jungle Fight 89, in São Paulo, Brazil. It was the fight between Anderson Santos Buzika (Inside Gym) and Nathan Batista (Team Nogueira). The intensity began as sooner as the referee started the match. They fought on a brutal pace until the very end. Batista landed a low kick, followed by a beautiful spinning kick that sent Anderson Buzika to the canvas.
Santos stood up and Batista went for it, landed several punches (some of them carelessly) and spinning kicks. Santos was determined to gut it out, but looked like he would not last long because Batista was in a mad rush to win. He landed good right hooks, missed a few punches, but he was kneed in the body by Santos. Batista countered with an uppercut, but he was already hurt by the body strike, which gave Santos an opening to connect the punches that led to the knockout at 50 seconds of the 1st round.

At the end of the fight, the president of the event, the former fighter Wallid Ismail, stated that Anderson Santos Buzika will fight for the featherweight title. His professional mixed martial arts record is 10-1, with 9 wins by KO and 1 by submission.
