In this unregulated martial arts bout from Russia, it was just one mistake by the street fighter that let Golden Jaw capitalize and get the TKO win.
It is not recommended to participate in an unregulated event as there is no real oversight, but Russia’s Arrowfight seems to be taking at least some precautions in making their event’s safe as can be.
In this fight, a ‘street fighter’ fights a man only described as ‘Golden Jaw’. It’s not clear from the video which is the street fighter, but it’s obvious that both have some basic MMA skills.
The video starts with both athletes being checked by the referee to make sure they are wearing groin protection, a mouthpiece, and gloves. The referee explains the rules, the fighter touch gloves, and the fight starts.
The two circle cautiously until the man in black shorts lands a solid lower leg kick spinning his opponent around. He seems tentative as his opponent looks considerably bigger. He then tries the same kick, but falls backwards in the sand. The red shorted fighter takes advantage of the falls and jumps on his opponent. It is clear he has a strong base and starts to land series of small, but strong punches. He quickly transitions to put his knee over his opponents closer arm and then lands some strong punches to his opponents unprotected face.
After transitioning to mount, the larger man is able to land enough punches to cause the referee to call a halt to the bout.
