What the hell just happened!? One second I was being a smug jerk, refusing to touch gloves, next thing I know, some dude with a black shirt and latex gloves dives on top of me. I thought I was fighting a girl! What do you mean the match is over!? I didn’t even get to do anything! And that half-assed teep kick and pawing jab don’t count, nor does the desperation takedown attempt. I signed up to fight!
Alright, in all fairness, I’m just assuming that’s what Ashlee Evans-Smith said. And by assuming, I’m probably not making an ass out of “you” and me, more than likely, it’s just me. And I’m OK with that. I’m sure that Ashlee Evans-Smith is a pretty cool person, I don’t know, I’ve never met her. Anyone willing to climb into a cage and swing their limbs at another human being gets my respect. Unfortunately for Ashlee, that just wasn’t her night.
Hell of a straight right by Veronica Rothenhausler though. She came out like she was shot from a cannon. So what do we learn from this? Always touch gloves? Not always a good idea. Remember episode 1 of The Ultimate Fighter Heavyweights? If not, let’s just say someone fell for a fake glove touch and ended up with his skull exposed.
