In this video from Russian amateur MMA promotion ‘Arrows Street Fight’, we see someone with dwarfism compete in MMA against a regular-sized opponent and it ends pretty brutally.

What the little guy lacks in height and reach, he makes up for it with heart. He appears to be quite strong as well, easily taking his normal sized opponent down and dominating the wrestling aspect of this fight.

During the brief amount of time they spend striking on the feet, it really is apparent though just what a disadvantage the little guy is at in striking range. His arms are simply way too short to have any kind of chance against a legitimate striker.

On the ground, however, those short stubby arms may, in fact, be an advantage when it comes to ground and pound like we see towards the end of the video. Those stubby arms don’t need as much space to deliver full power which we find out he is not lacking in.

The dwarf unloads some brutal, rapid fire ground and pound on his opponent that forces the referee to stop the bout, awarding the little guy the victory.

His opponent, while being quite rudimentary in his skill set, deserves some respect too for taking the fight against a little person as it is pretty much a lose/lose situation. Even if he had won, it’s not really a good look. He does appear quite classy in defeat though, being a good sport and talking to the crowd so he deserves some props too.
