31Only one month into the new year, it already looks like we have a contender for round of the year. No it’s not inside the UFC or even Bellator but in India’s premier mixed martial arts organization; Super Fight League.
In the co-main event for SFL 2017: Wreck Thy Neighbour, Jason Solomon representing team Dehli Heroes took on Amit Kumar of the Haryana Sultans in an MMA team vs team format similar to the International Fight League.
After a bit of a feeling process for the first minute of the bout, Kumar catches Solomon with a hard left hand which had Solomon slipping and rolling all over the cage while Kumar chased him to try and get the stoppage win.
A different ref may have stopped this bout at various instances, but the fight went on much to the delight of those in attendance.
After avoiding a wild flying kick from Solomon who lands on his butt, Kumar follows him down to the floor getting inside the guard of Solomon and then advancing to mount. But it was short lived as Solomon literally bucked and rolled to get the sweep and from here eventually advanced to the back of Kumar and sinking in a rear naked choke for the epic comeback win.
