UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor has a big fight coming up next month at UFC 205 against Lightweight Champ Eddie Alvarez and it looks like he’s taking it seriously. McGregor is attempting to make UFC history by being the first fighter to hold titles in two weight classes simultaneously.

In this exclusive sparring video from MacLife productions, we see Conor working with longtime teammate Artem Lobov doing ‘small glove’ MMA sparring. This type of sparring mixes both striking and grappling together as you can see in the video.

Interesting to note, you can see McGregor standing in an orthodox stance for part of the session. McGregor usually fights southpaw as his left hand is his big power hand. Perhaps fighting right handed will be part of the strategy in his upcoming bout against Alvarez or maybe he plans on switching back and forth between the two stances in order to confuse his opponent.

In the sparring footage you can see McGregor land his trademarked left hand, albeit not as hard as he does in a fight. You can also see Conor throw his signature tornado kick before the two engage in a grappling exchange which Conor gets the better of.
