Eric Esch, better known as Butterbean, is a boxer, kickboxer and mixed martial arts fighter who is perhaps best known for his massive size as well as his brutal punching power.

Weighing in at 425 lbs on a 5’11” frame, Butterbean carries around much more weight than you’d think a professional athlete should. Nevertheless all that weight didn’t stop Butterbean from having a successful career as a boxer and was actually one of the few boxers to find success in the MMA cage as well.

In the video below we see Butterbean in the final bout of his MMA career and like most Butterbean fights, it does not last long.

This fight took place in 2011 at Prestige Fighting Championship 3 in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. His opponent was little known Sandy ‘The Sandman’ Bowman, who had just two professional fights prior to this one. He was also outweighed by some 200lbs!

That’s a lot of weight for anybody to overcome, let alone in a professional MMA fight. This fight ends just as quickly as it starts however, with the relatively unknown fighter Bowman defeating his massive opponent with a huge head kick. It makes a lot of noise too and puts Butterbean down for good in his final MMA bout.
