Bellator MMA featherweight champion Daniel Straus just underwent hand surgery. He had a video taken while he was under, and posted inside out images and video of the proceedings on his social network.

Straus broke the hand in defeating Patricio Freire via Unanimous Decision at Bellator 145 on November 6, 2015, and taking his title. His bionic left fist now contains a titanium plate and six screws holding it together, as you can see.

Hopefully it is now stronger for having endured the break and operation.

If u have a weak stomach id keep scrolling, posted Straus accurately.

Straus has now undergone a long, hard trip through the league title.

He beat Marlon Sandro via Unanimous Decision at Bellator 68 on May 11, 2012 to win the Bellator Season Six Featherweight Tournament Final, which gave him a title shot according to the convention in the league at the time.

Then he beat Pat Curran via Unanimous Decision at Bellator 106 on November 2, 2013, winning the title. But he lost a rematch with Curran via rear naked choke his very next fight.

Then he beat Justin Wilcox, and was awarded a title shot at new champion Patricio Freire, but lost via rear naked choke. Then he beat Henry Corrales, and was again awarded a title shot, winning the rematch with Freire, with a broken hand.

And now the champ is on the mend.
