This is awesome, you hear a spectator say during this spirited albeit amateur MMA contest. What this fight lacks in technique it surely makes up for it in heart and entertainment as a 53-year-old, out of shape man hangs tough and beats his much younger, in better shape opponent.

Both men throw hard punches early on with not much technique displayed but the crowd is clearly into it.

The younger man lands a few decent shots that drop the 53-year-old and he pounces on him trying to finish. Surprisingly, the older man intelligently grabs a hold of a single leg and uses that to defend himself and get back to his feet.

The younger man has clearly fatigued and the 53-year-old lands a solid jab that backs his opponent up. They both land some good shots but the momentum and the crowd is clearly behind the 53-year-old.

The action is back and forth and the 53-year-old even throws a couple kicks when out of nowhere he lands a big right hand that sends his younger foe crumbling to the ground. He gets on top and finishes him much to the crowds delight.

The spectator, who is revealed to be none other than UFC Hall of Famer Stephan Bonnar, enters the cage and questions the winner (who is named Tim Karaker) after his big win and discovers the fact that he took the fight on one hour’s notice.

So you came here to watch the fights and they asked you to fight at the door and you just got a victory and it was fight of the night so far. You got to feel great. Karaker simply nods his head in agreement.

How old are you? Bonnar asks him.

53, I’ll be 54, Karaker replies.

You’re my hero, Bonnar tells him. That was awesome.
