Let me start off by saying that if you’re putting serious thought into picking a fight with a professional MMA fighter, stop it. Just stop it. No amount of confidence, nor Bruce Lee movies, nor liquor will prepare you for such an encounter, or the inevitable hospital bills that you’ll be paying to put your face back together.
You may be a master of the side step and a sensei of the sweep, but unless you’re a masochist and have a fetish for pain, it’s probably best to stick to EA Sports UFC 2.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, I’ll take a step down off of my soapbox so I can tell you a little bit about the following video and the two men providing commentary in it.
Both gentlemen know a thing or two about fisticuffs, particularly professional MMA fighter Davis Dos Santos (2-0), whose last fight took place at welterweight just days ago on November 4th against Collin Baikie at TKO 36. Santos stopped his opponent via KO in 36 seconds.
Nick Drossos, the English-speaking host and translator for Santos, shows viewers why it’s not only a bad idea to attack a trained fighter, but why an average human wouldn’t even be able to get within striking range of them to throw a punch.
Barring Divine Intervention, one would probably need a bottle of chloroform and a whole lot of luck to pose any real threat to Santos, who has trained with Firas Zahabi at his famed Tristar Gym in Montreal, Canada. It looks like rubbing shoulders with the likes of Georges St. Pierre and Rory MacDonald has done some good for the native of Aracaju, Sergipe Brazil.

Check out the video below, where Nick and Davis share their top tips to beat an MMA fighter.
