Pulling off a suplex might seem like a good idea in the heat of battle, but as this youth discovered the hard way, it can also go horribly wrong.
As the video begins the fight in a school hallway is well underway, with a youth in a gray and black top already in full mount and raining down ground and pound punches on another teenager who’s wearing a red jumper.
Red manages to create enough space to roll to his knees and then in the ensuing scramble he ends up on top.

As gray-top tries to stand back up, red decides now would be a good time for an improvised suplex, but that will quickly prove to be a costly mistake.
He arches his back as he launches his opponent into the air, but it’s a botched attempt and he ends up slamming head first on the tiled floor behind him, while his adversary’s right leg almost instantaneously thumps down on top of him for good measure.
It quickly becomes apparent that suplex-kid has brutally KO’d himself with the move as he lies motionless on the floor, while the intended target of the throw emerged relatively unscathed and is now looking for payback.
Gray-top then lands five sickening, and completely unnecessary, hard blows to his adversary’s face while he’s still unconscious, before other students and teachers finally rush in to drag him away.
As this video demonstrates, the suplex is a potentially dangerous move for both parties involved, especially when landing on a hard surface.
Even seasoned professionals have been known to get it wrong, with a classic example in MMA being when Olympic wrestling silver medallist Matt Lindland knocked himself out courtesy of a failed suplex attempt against Falaniko Vitale all the way back at UFC 43 in 2003.
