A referee’s job is generally a thankless one. When a ref does his or her job correctly, nobody pays attention, but if they make a mistake it’s usually a big deal. In this kickboxing match, the woman ref doesn’t really make a a mistake, except maybe getting a little too close to the action.

As the video starts you can see the ref putting her hands up to try and break the fighters up but as she does the fighter in white shorts throws a huge overhand right as his opponent, which instead clobbers the ref. To her credit, this ref is one tough women and just eats the punch and seems fine from the blow.

After the punch lands, the refs takes a second to brush her hair back and then speaks to the fighter in the white trunks. She then restarts the fight like nothing had happened.
