Ah, the good ole spinning heel kick KO…
Tricky to pull off, eye candy for martial arts fans, rare gem, and devastating for its recipient.
Badr Hari and Stefan Leko were set to go at it at the K-1 World Grand Prix 2005 event in Tokyo, Japan.

The first round was disputed, although Badr Hari was already displaying his superior kickboxing skills.
A minute into the 2nd, Hari goes for a spinning back kick to the body of Stefan Leko.
The two reset, and Badr Hari goes for another spinning back kick. Leko, probably figuring Hari was targeting his body again, lowers his hands ; little did he know that this time the Dutchman opted to go straight for his jaw…
BABOOM.
Seriously, do not just watch this crazy knockout, LISTEN to it as well.

The SNAP sound of Hari’s heel meeting Leko’s jaw made fans around the world look on in awe, while also legitimately wondering if Hari just sent Leko into a coma.
I mean, this was a textbook, splendid spinning back heel kick to the jaw that left Leko unconscious on the canvas for minutes. Hari, who’s been a kickboxer since age 7, got to showcase his amazing offense skills to the world.
I love KOs, particularly when they involve jaw-dropping, traditional martial arts techniques. I often get back to this video (while smashing the replay button every time) and still can’t help myself but to cringe a bit every time that heel kick lands on Stefan Leko’s face.
