Any movie fan who knows any judo will quickly recognize how prevalent judo is. In one scene from the movie Lethal Weapon, for example, Officer Riggs slapped on a cool Triangle choke on his captor to escape imminent death. And Star Trek buffs have witnessed Captain Kirk’s judo moves in fighting off Klingons and other menaces of the universe for years.

Contemporary film and television stars Chuck Norris and Steven Seagal, who have both enthralled audiences around the world with their action scenes, were both students of judo. And, of course, many stunt men and women in the movie industry are trained in judo techniques.
