Andrei Arlovski will be fighting sooner than he may have expected, as the former UFC heavyweight champ has reportedly agreed to step in for the injured Anthony Johnson, and will battle Mike Kyle at WSOF 5 on September 14th. Arlovski (19-10) will be looking to get back on the winning track, as he dropped a unanimous decision loss to Johnson at WSOF 2 in March. Prior to the loss the 34 year-old had won back-to-back bouts versus Mike Hayes and Devin Cole, and was undefeated in five bouts. Kyle (20-9-1)is coming off a 21 second knockout win over vet Travis Wiuff at a Championship Fighting Alliance event in May. In January, the former UFC competitor was tapped out by Gegard Mousasi in round one at the final Strikeforce event. Kyle had been contracted to fight Johnson at light-heavyweight, however, his tilt with Arlovski will take place at heavyweight. WSOF 5 will be hosted by Atlantic City's Revel Resort and Casino and will be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network.
