Event notes

Operation Octagon is the DC area’s longest running and most successful Mixed Martial Arts fighting promotion. Since the first event in January 2008, Operation Octagon has sold out 15 consecutive fights and plans to bring another sold out show on October 22nd to the Dulles Sportsplex in Sterling, VA. Combining some of the area’s top fighters, some of which have made it to the UFC, and top-notch production, Operation Octagon continues to set itself apart from its competitors. The Main Event will feature Kelsey DeSantis vs. Stacy Sneeringer for the Women's Middleweight (145 lbs.) Title. Kelsey and Stacy will bring heavy striking skills and promises to be a brawl. Kelsey will also accompany Justin Timberlake to the Marine Corps Ball just 3 weeks later. See videos of her fights, asking Justin to the Ball and the CNN report on her date on YouTube.com. The rest of the card promises to bring the usual action-packed night of fights from the area's top MMA fighters. Every weight class from 135-265 will be represented in the Men's division. Other featured fights include a Welterweight Title defense by Willie Floyd vs. DJ Hilton and a Light Heavyweight Title fight between EJ Mecklenburg and Jeremy Shifflett.
