Lords of Combat LLC, is the first exclusively Southern California Mixed Martial Arts event promotion company. The Lords of Combat mission is to match Southern California fighters for Southern California fans. But aside from making great fights, Lords of Combat will continue to foster MMA culture in the community by creating a networking association for MMA gyms, nurturing local talent and improving public awareness of martial arts. Southern California is the historic birthplace of MMA in the United States, and Lords of Combat seeks to preserve the region's traditional dominance of the sport. Lords of Combat was founded by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and business entrepreneur Anwar Elmahrek. At the age of 52, Elmahrek -- who also has a black belt in Shotokan Karate -- still practices BJJ and teaches MMA at Allan Goes Martial Arts.
