The 552nd UFC event, known variously as UFC Vegas 20, UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Gane, UFC Fight Night 186, and UFC on ESPN+ 44 will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. The entire event streams live on the ESPN+ app.

As is common over the past year, the main event underwent significant change. Former light heavyweight title challenger Dominick Reyes vs. former RIZIN light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka was originally scheduled, but Reyes suffered an injury and when Prochazka too was removed, that bout was delayed until a further card. Then the UFC moved Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Ciryl Gane from a March 13 event to this one.
Rozenstruik is ranked #4 in the heavyweight division, and Gane is #7. Rozenstruik is 11-1, with his sole loss coming to Francis Ngannou. Every fight but one of his has ended inside the distance, via strikes. Gane, a protege of Ngannou’s original coach, Fight Factory founder Fernand Lopez, holds a perfect 7-0 record, also with only one fight going to decision.
The heavyweight title picture is backed up some, with champion Stipe Miocic defending in a rematch vs. Francis Ngannou in the main event of UFC 260 on March 27, 2021, and Jon Jones waiting for the winner. #2 ranked Derrick Lewis is likely next after that. So this fight likely does not have immediate title implications, but the sport is subject to such sudden changes at present, that it might.
