UFC signs Randy Costa to fight Brandon Davis at UFC 236
Today Lauzon MMA gym, the home of UFC veteran Joe Lauzon today announced that it’s fighter Randy Costa has been signed for his UFC debut at UFC 236 in Atlanta, Georgia on April 13th.
Lauzon MMA, the home of UFC veteran Joe Lauzon, announced that it’s fighter Randy Costa has been signed by the UFC for his debut against Brandon Davis at UFC 236 in Atlanta, Georgia on April 13th. Although the promotion is always signing young, new talent, Costa is unique in that he has only been a professional MMA fighter for eight months. Costa made his professional debut on June 30th of 2018 and is currently 4-0 as a professional after a 3-0 amateur career.
Costa, a 24 yr old native of Taunton, MA is undefeated both at the amateur and professional level and has finished all of his opponents within the first round. The average length of his professional fights has been 0:42 seconds.

The UFC 236 bout against Davis marks a definite step up in competition for the young Costa, and the matchup style has all the makings of an exciting bout. Costa‘s highlights are full of knockouts and high kicks and Davis has a reputation for having standup wars in the UFC. Davis will be the much more experienced competitor having eighteen professional bouts in his career after a five-fight amateur career. Davis is currently 9-6 as a professional is 1-3 in the UFC after earning a spot in the promotion after a Fight of the Night performance on Dana White’s Contender Series in August of 2017.
UFC 236 takes place Saturday, April 13th from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA and is headlined by an interim lightweight title fight between Dustin Poirier and Max Holloway. The event also features an interim middleweight title fight between Kelvin Gastelum and Isarel Adesanya.
