And Twitter reacted. UFC president Dana White summed it up about perfectly in two words.

Holy shit Frankie Edgar🙏🏾

Glad to see Edgar and standing. That was a vicious KO. It’s only January but I have a feeling we’ll be talking about it in December.
28 seconds. Second-fastest flying knee in UFC history, behind Jorge Masvidal, of course.

"It feels good, man. But that's Frankie Edgar. I don't want to watch that." — Cory Sandhagen (@cors_life), class.

Watching this Eminem thing immediately after the Cory Sandhagen knockout… what a rollercoaster. High highs. Low lows. #UFCVegas18

Jesus! That was clean as hell! One of the things I really had to be careful of because of Sandhagen height. Two masterful performances back to back.#UFCVegas18 #TheWeeklyScraps!

I don’t see how you can reward TJ with a title shot before Cory Sandhagen. The people demand Sandhagen gets the title shot! #UFCVegas18
— Adam Martin (@MMAdamMartin) February 7, 2021
Give that man a title shot!!! Cory Sandhagen is the real deal 😲 #UFCVegas18
— Megan Anderson (@MeganAnderson) February 7, 2021

Edgar is legend, time to move on. Good win for Cory. But hard to forget what my next opponent did to him. We’ll see what happens next 🤫

Some fighters receive public recognition in excess of their talent. PVZ, for example, has 330,000 followers on Twitter. Cory Sandhagen has 8,686.
