PFL 8 results

 The inaugural week of Professional Fighters League playoffs has arrived. The PFL features six, eight-man divisions, with a $1 million championship prize in each.

Tonight, live from New Orleans, Louisiana, will be the quarter and semi-final rounds of the featherweight and heavyweight tournaments. The quarters will be three, five-minute rounds, and the semis two, five-minute rounds. In the event of a draw in the quarter finals, the bout will go the fighter winning Round 1.

PFL 8 begins at 7:30 ET on Facebook watch, with the semis taking place on NBC Sports Network at 10:00 p.m. ET.

Heavyweight Quarterfinals:
Francimar Barroso tied. Josh Copeland (19-19, 19-19, 19-19) but Copeland advances on Round 1 winning tiebreaker
Alex Nicholson beat Jack May via TKO at 2:03 of Round 1
Philipe Lins beat Caio Alencar (in for Valdrin Istrefi) via submission (guillotine) at 0:58 of Round 1
Jared Rosholt beat Kelvin Tiller via unanimous decision (20-18, 20-18, 20-18)

Heavyweight Semis:
Josh Copeland beat Alex Nicholson via KO at 1:27 of Round 1
Philipe Lins beat Jared Rosholt via TKO at 0:45 at R2
Now Josh Copeland and Philipe Lins fight in the finals for $1,000,000

Alternate Heavyweight bout:
Mo De’Reese beat Mike Kyle via TKO at 2:38 of Round 1

Featherweight Quarterfinals:
Steven Siler drew Nazareno Malegarie via majority draw (20-18, 19-19, 19-19) but Siler advances on Round 1 winning tiebreaker
Alexandre Almeida beat Tuerxun Jumabieke (in for injured Timur Valiev) via majority decision (20-18, 20-18, 19-19)
Andre Harrison beat Alexandre Bezerra via majority decision (20-18, 20-18, 19-19)
Lance Palmer beat Max Coga via unanimous decision (20-18, 20-18, 20-18)

Featherweight Semis:
Steven Siler def. Alexandre Almeida via DQ (illegal upkick) at 0:52 of Round 2
Lance Palmer beat Andre Harrison via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)
Now Siler and Palmer fight in the finals for $1,000,0000
