New UFC belt to be unveiled on 1/19

UFC 232 on Saturday, December 29 was the end of the FOX era, and the beginning of the ESPN era. UFC president Dana White recently said the league would be revamping the belt, with the unveiling at UFC Fight Night on ESPN+ 1 also known as UFC Fight Night 143, or UFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs. Dillashaw, or UFC Brooklyn.

There have been hints previously, including on the UFC’s social network, albeit with the wrong date.

Former middleweight champ Michael Bisping also referenced it during a recent Believe You Me podcast.

A while ago, a little birdy told me this from the UFC that shall be unnamed, said Bisping, as transcribed by Coed. I know they were talking about bringing out new belts, a new designed belt. And they’re going to have, for every country that has won a belt, their flag would be on the belt, represented.

We will have to wait until Jan 19 to get the full look.
