2020 was not most people’s favorite year, but UFC middleweight Kevin Holland fought five times this year, stopping four of five opponents inside the distance, earning three performance bonuses, and tieing the UFC record for most wins in a calendar year.
After KOing Ronaldo “Jacare Souza with a looping shot from bottom Guard, Trail Blazer called out Khamzat Chimaev. The former BRAVE CF contender has enjoyed an unparalleled, record-setting debut through a standard UFC three-fight contract. He has been hit just twice in his first three league fights, and both were in his first bout. And the number of shots it took him to win is decreasing, as the level of competition increases. He stopped his first opponent after 124 punches at middleweight, the second after 68 punches at welterweight, and the third opponent, back at middleweight, with just four punches.
Chimaev was contracted to fight #3 ranked Leon Edwards on December 19 in the main event of UFC on ESPN+ 41. However, on November 29, it was announced that Chimaev had tested positive for COVID-19.Two days later Edwards too was announced as having tested positive, and the bout was off.
During his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, Holland called out Chimaev.
I know my son doesn’t want me to say this right now, but I know Chimaev was supposed to fight on December 19. He fights at ’85 and ’70. Come back up to ’85, said Holland. That’s what he does, right? I think I do it better. Who’s fought the most this year?
I think he should just stay ’70. I think he can be a champ at 170. But if he comes up here at ’85, I’mma bang that boy up.

What do you think UG? Chimaev vs. Edwards, or Chimaev vs. Holland?
