Lee County District Attorney Brandon Hughes tells CNN’s Madeline Holcombe that the disappearance of 19-year-old college student Aniah Blanchard is now being pursued as a criminal investigation in Alabama and foul play is suspected.

“We fear for her safety and do not believe she has gone missing on her own accord,” said Hughes.

Blanchard, the stepdaughter of UFC heavyweight Walt Harris, communicated with a friend just before midnight on Wednesday, October 23 and has not been heard from since. On Friday police located her black 2017 Honda CR-V on Friday evening at an apartment complex in the eastern part of Montgomery. The vehicle had damage to the front right fender and the passenger-side door.

Blanchard is 5′ 6″, weighs 125, and was last seen wearing a black dress, tan duck boots and black stockings. Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey has offered a $5,000 reward for information connected to her disappearance, and UFC president Dana White has offered $25,000.

Anyone with information on Blanchard’s disappearance or on the damage to the SUV should contact the Auburn police at (334) 501-3140.
