The two-year suspension ends on January 18, 2021; during a recent interview, Dillashaw said he wants an immediate title shot.

As the current champ, Yan, fights Sterling sometime early in 2021, after the planned fight at UFC 256 was delayed, in the absence of a title shot, Dillashaw has expressed interest in fighting Cory Sandhagen.
