BMF Jorge Masvidal took a title shot on six days’ notice vs. welterweight champion Kamaru Usman at UFC 251. Masvidal lost a Unanimous Decision, but gained even more fans, and broke Usman’s nose.

On Wednesday, “Gamebred” tested his cornhole skills vs. world champion, of the Midwest, Cody Henderson, and after the devastating loss, was asked what’s next in his fighting career?

Hopefully, December/November, replied Masvidal. My opponent has a broken nose, he’s going to be out for a couple days, due to me. He does have a broken nose. I think next week we’re going to find out just how long he’s out for and then we’ll start determining who will be the next fight and where.

Early in July, UFC president Dana White indicated that the next title shot at Usman goes to Gilbert Burns.

He’s the No. 1 contender, said White. He’s the No. 1 ranked guy in the world. Yeah – he’s the No. 1 guy in the world. The kid is hungry. He wants to fight. He wants to be a world champion – and he’s No. 1. Yeah, that puts him in a pretty good spot.

Tyron Woodley and Colby Covington are in negotiations over a long-simmering fight. That would seem to leave Leon Edwards as a natural opponent for Masvidal, and “Rocky” is all in.
