Not the Rear Naked Choke, the Republican National Convention. On Thursday, for the second time in four years, UFC president Dana White will be addressing the RNC in support of the (re)election of his long-time friend Donald Trump.

Four years ago White praised Trump for his support of the UFC after the purchase of the promotion by ZUFFA, when the sport was driven off PPV.

Donald championed the UFC before it was popular, before it grew into a successful business, said White in 2016. I will always be so grateful to him for standing with us in those early days.

Trump is a controversial figure, and at the DWCS post-fight press conference, White was asked if he considered sitting this one out.

“No,” said White. “That s*** doesn’t bother me. Listen, this is America. Everybody has their own opinions and their own choices. I know that sometimes people go after you because of whatever, but everybody knows me. Everybody knows what I’m about, and you know. I dunno, talk to me after the speech.”

White was asked if he’s concerned that a speech in support of Trump’s reelection could appear to be offering blanket support for everything the President does.

I don’t give a s***,” said White. “I don’t care what people think of me or what they think. The people who know me know who I am and know what I’m about. Other than that, I could care less. There’s tons of guys that hate Trump, whether it’s celebrities or whatever, and I’m cool with all of them. We’re all cool.

Like I said, the people who know me, know me, and the people who don’t all judge me anyways. It doesn’t matter to me. I could care less.

So what will the message be at this address?

You’ll have to tune in Thursday to find out, said White. I’ll let it speak for itself.
