Cris Cyborg leaving the UFC with ‘no regrets’
“When Dana White realizes he’s not having Amanda Nunes vs. Cris Cyborg, he’ll feel a little loser because he is a promoter.”

Cris Cyborg, 34, recently published on her YouTube channel an interview with Globo Esporte, reflecting on her recent departure from the UFC.
I am happy, said Cyborg, as transcribed by Nolan King for MMA Junkie. Everything I did was always feeling my heart. I don’t regret anything I have done. … I believe the guarantee of the future is what you do in the present, everyday, and my actions were always to do good things. So I know if I do good things, I’ll have good things back. I don’t worry about that.
I passed by many cycles. Many projects. In a cycle there is always a beginning, middle, and an end. Like Invicta had an end. Bellator… No, no Bellator yet. The UFC had a beginning, middle, end. Strikeforce. I am starting a new cycle. I am happy, anxious, looking forward to start.
Amanda is the champion, there is a division. Every moment of my life, I start a project. And the UFC project was to have my division. I put an effort to get down to the division. I made it and there is a division now. Who knows? Maybe if we meet in another place. For sure I want the rematch. It’s a cool fight. But if it doesn’t happen now, I believe in God’s time. Amanda knows it’s not for her.
When Dana White realizes he’s not having Amanda Nunes vs. Cris Cyborg, he’ll feel a little loser because he is a promoter. And what does a promoter want? To promote the best fights. But then something personal happened and with that come the mistakes.
I’ll be online to tell everybody about my new place. It’s a secret. Almost there. Almost there.
