The main event of UFC on ESPN+ 42 on Saturday was the last time league talent will fight for about a month, but there were UFC fighters competing on Sunday in Chael Sonnen’s Submission Underground 19. In fact, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone tapped Rafael dos Anjos, twice.

The two grappled into overtime, and Cerrone sunk an armbar; dos Anjos appeared to the referee to tap, and the match was stopped.

As is standard in combat sports, the referee’s decision stood, despite RDA’s fervent protests. However, the ending was unsatisfying, so there was another overtime period. RDA chose the Spider Web, nearly tapping Cerrone, but “Cowboy” eventually escaped. When the roles were reversed, Cerrone tapped dos Anjos, for sure this time.
