Bobby Moffett is looking for MMA’s first Darse Hambone
“You know, I was actually looking up what it’s called when you get four in a row. I know three in a row is a turkey.”

Owner of one of the most impressive submission streaks in MMA today, UFC Nashville’s Bobby Moffett could make it four straight Darse choke finishes at UFC on ESPN+ 6. While the MMA Lab product would be happy with a finish of any kind, he clearly has continuing that streak on his mind.
You know, I was actually looking up what it’s called when you get four in a row, Moffett admitted to The Top Turtle MMA Podcast. I know three in a row is a turkey.
After doing some initial searching, Moffett found that the term for succeeding four times in a row did, in fact, have a name – although that name was far less familiar than the aforementioned ‘turkey’. Someone coined it and I guessed it called a Hambone. I’m trying to get a Hambone – I’m trying to go four Darses in a row.
Even though he’s all about the hambone right now, Moffett was amused, but less than thrilled at the prospect of switching his nickname in favor for the term.
Nah, we’ll stick to ‘Wolfman, Moffett said laughing at the suggestion.
Although it’s on his mind, finishing Bryce Mitchell is the first and foremost goal.
I just want to keep finishing people, he said. I’m not a big decision guy.
