Conor McGregor became the first UFC fighter to hold a title in two divisions simultaneously when, while reigning featherweight champion, he TKO’d lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez at 3:04 of Round 2 at UFC 205, on November 12, 2016. He never defended the unified featherweight belt he won at UFC 194 on December 12, 2015, instead going 1-1 at welterweight with Nate Diaz. The 155 belt too was later stripped for inactivity.
McGregor has fought just twice since, losing to lightweight GOAT Khabib Nurmagomedov, and destroying Cowboy Cerrone in January. And McGregor made $100 million+ boxing Floyd Mayeather in 2017.
And yesterday, he celebrated World Champ Champ Day, as he announced on his social network.
