The ‘reality’ television series is based in Vegas, so it’s no surprise that a number of MMA figures have appeared on it.
Pawn Stars purportedly chronicles the daily activities at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas. It is the highest rated show on The History Channel, so successful that Austin Chumlee Russell made 25k per episode, and is worth $5 million. There have been over 500 episodes.
The plot centers on interactions during which, typically, a customer might ask to get change for a dollar, and Rick shakes his head from side to side and replies, “I can give you 57 cents, I’m taking a risk.”
