EBI 17 will feature the promotion’s first 16-man Combat Jiu-Jitsu tournament at middleweight. Combat Jiu-Jitsu rules allow open hand palm strikes once one or both of the competitors are grounded, bringing in a degree of realism that is too often lacking in modern grappling events, while still allowing grappling technique to flourish.
