After Mel Gibson’s triangle choke victory over Gary Busey in Lethal Weapon 1, three more sequels of the hit buddy cop action series followed up.
In the fourth instalment of Lethal Weapon released in 1998, Riggs and Murtaugh (played by Mel Gibson and Danny Glover respectively) found themselves with more than their hands full facing off against high ranking Triad Wah Sing Ku played by Wushu champion Jet Li in what was his American film debut and also the first time he would play a villain on screen.

In the film’s climax, the trio find themselves in the pouring rain (again) but this time fighting on the pier with Riggs and Murtaugh double teaming against Sing Ku who had defeated them earlier in the film. With the two cops clearly out classed and looking like the end was near for Riggs, Murtaugh manages to stab Sung Ku to turn the tide and save Riggs but then gets himself KO’d in the process.
From here Riggs manages to tackle Sing Ku into the water and finally kills off the triad with a conveniently found gun shooting him in the body and leaving his body to sink to the ocean floor.
