When one thinks of a man, or sees a man for that matter, dressed in a set of fine linens very rarely do the images of Muhammad Ali or Roberto Duran-esque boxing skills come to mind. Normally, as is the case with myself anyhow, one thinks of a civilized, socially adept, intelligent, and hardworking man who has probably put forth great effort to attain the type of job that affords him these luxuries or at the very least requires that he be dressed in such a manner. As the saying goes, the clothes make the man.

They also say, looks can be deceiving and in the video below we witness just that scenario play out in real time on a city sidewalk. The video begins with an argument that is hard to discern but it is very clear that the gentleman in the suit is not overly interested in a physical altercation and actually appears to turn to either walk away or get into his car. Regardless, he clearly made an action that insinuates he was trying to avoid any escalation of the situation and in fact remove himself from said situation.

This is where the aggressor in the video spots his opening and strikes. With the gentleman in the suit distracted, the thug attempts to take advantage of the situation by unsuccessfully throwing a punch at the man’s face, not once but twice!

At this point, the gentleman in the refined clothing has no choice but to defend himself and defend himself he does. To use yet another saying, don’t ever judge a book by its cover.
