Philadelphian mixed martial artist Eddie Alvarez is a man not very many people would choose to bully. The former Bellator Lightweight Champion and current Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight contender has spent the last thirteen years fighting on the world’s largest stages and taking on some of the baddest men on the planet, from Shinya Aoki to Gilbert Melendez to Anthony Pettis. He is currently scheduled to take on UFC Lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos on UFC Fight Pass in July, 2016.

In 2009, Alvarez visited MTV’s Bully Beatdown. Hosted by the enigmatic Jason Mayhem Miller, Bully Beatdown was a reality show in which people who’ve been suffering at the hands of a bully bring their bully on show to test their toughness and see how they fare trying to pick on someone who has spent most of their life learning and practicing to destroy other people with their bare hands. As one would guess, things never seem to work out for the bullies.

In this episode, Lorenzo and Joey, a duo of friends hailing from the Bronx, NY explain to Alvarez and Miller the suffering they’ve endured at the hands of their bully, a much shorter, but much wider guy named Mike. Alvarez assured them he can help their cause and states, this ain’t the weight room, fellas. This is the cage, so they come a dime a dozen. I take care of ‘em one by one, alright? This is no problem. I’ll see you guys.

As one would expect, Alvarez easily has his way with the bully in both the striking and grappling portions of the show, leaving both his body and pride battered and bruised.
