What is it about a fight in which there is a great size disparity that piques our collective interest and makes us want to watch? Why have stories of such fights and the overwhelming odds stacked against the smaller man held our attention since the biblical tale of David and Goliath? Perhaps it is our own desire to see ourselves overcome incredible odds and be victorious despite deficiencies we’d thought would have prevented us from having done so. In any case, our interest in such fights and competition persists to this day, and here is one of those stories.

The scene begins and shows two men standing face to face on a playground, right in front of the slide and jungle gym. One man is clearly much larger than the other, easily a head taller. While it is difficult to determine which man is the aggressor, it is clear that the larger man is looming over the smaller man and continues moving toward him each time he tries to step away. The larger man briefly raises his fist, which likely indicated to the smaller man that there would be neither the opportunity to talk his way out of this nor the chance to walk away without defending himself.

Moments later, larger man begins to raise his right hand while still talking trash to his smaller adversary. Apparently in recognition of violence being unavoidable at this point, the smaller man launches a powerful looping left hand that finds its mark and sends the larger man face first to the ground, his poorly fitting hat landing humorously beside him.
