When it comes to any type of martial art or, in particular, street fighting, there are a few misconceptions that people inevitably tend to hold true although they are not. In fact, the reason that a lot of these misconceptions are thought to be true is because under a certain set of circumstances they are.

For the most part, people do not know how to fight. I would venture to say in complete confidence that 90% of the population has no idea how to fight or even properly throw a punch. With that being said, the idea that size matters, for the most part, will hold true in the majority of situations.

However; if a person happens to have a bit of martial arts training, and this includes boxing, wrestling, and even old school Tae Kwon Do, the odds that they will win a fight regardless of their untrained opponent’s size increases tremendously.

In the video below, we see a boxing match between an average size man: 5’ 10 tall and right around 200 pounds, nothing out of the ordinary, however; he does posses some boxing skills; and one of England’s premier strongmen: Eddie Hall.

Eddie Hall is a professional strongman most noted for being the only man to dead lift 500 kg, or 1100 pounds, under strongman rules. He has also won the Uk’s Strongest Man and England’s Strongest Man titles on several occasions and is the current world record holder in the dead lift with straps.

In the video below, we see this monster of a man, Eddie Hall, take on the very average Nik Wiggins in a charity boxing match so check out the video below to see what happens when this modern-day Goliath meets David.
