It’s up to you man. Hit me as hard as you want to get hit, Condit said to the US Trooper before sparring commenced on a military base somewhere in the mountains of Afghanistan.
Perhaps he should have heeded his warning. The US Trooper came at Condit hard and hit him with a pretty decent right hand but that’s pretty much all the success he had in the contest.
Condit landed a nice left hook shortly thereafter before scoring with a three punch combination.

The sparring ends when Condit lands a beautiful left high kick followed by a straight right hand which sends the military man to the ground while the rest of the soldiers watching cheered on.
While US Troopers are always tough, this really demonstrates the massive advantage an elite fighter possesses over an assumed untrained opponent. Condit was never in any real danger and was in complete control of the encounter.
The funny thing about this video is it took place before Condit made his UFC debut. While he was the WEC Welterweight Champion at the time and all the hard-core fans surely knew who he was. WEC wasn’t getting anywhere near the kind of exposure UFC gets.
The trooper probably had no idea he was sparring with a future all-time great.

After the sparring was over, Condit took the time to show his respect for our brave men and women in the military: I wanna thank you guys for letting us come out and ya know, roll with us and do a little demonstration. We really appreciate what you guys do. And it is really, trust me, it is a pleasure for us to come out here and see you guys, visit with ya’ll.
Carlos Condit’s last fight took place on January 2nd, 2016 against Robbie Lawler for the Welterweight title. He lost a razor-thin split decision.
