Could a celebrity boxing match be in Chris Brown’s future? The Grammy Award winner was recently seen in a short video clip showing off his boxing skills. A future in the ring for the singer isn’t too far-fetched. In 2012, a celebrity boxing promoter unsuccessfully tried to set up Chris Brown versus Drake after the two scuffled in a New York club. Each celebrity was offered five million dollars. However, the match never panned out and Brown and Drake reportedly settled their differences.

A few ring appearances would also provide Brown with a constructive way to direct his temper. In 2011, he reportedly became violent in his dressing room during a commercial break after a testy interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America where he was asked about the Rihanna situation and his arrest. He left Times Square Studios fuming and shirtless. In January 2013, Frank Ocean declined to press charges against Brown after an altercation over a parking space outside a recording studio in West Hollywood. And later that year, Brown was arrested for assault again. According to TMZ:

“At around 4:30 AM Brown got into an argument with a man outside the W Hotel on K Street and allegedly punched him once in the face. We’re told the alleged victim never threw a punch.

The alleged victim tells TMZ … he and a friend were hanging out at the W when they saw 2 women about to take a picture with Brown. The victim — who says he’s not a Chris Brown fan — says he and his buddy photo bombed the 2 women and Chris went nuts, punching him in the face and BREAKING HIS NOSE. He went to the hospital and says he may need surgery as early as tomorrow.

Law enforcement sources and the alleged victim tell TMZ … before striking the man, Chris said, “I’m not down with that gay s**t, I feel like boxing.” After Chris punched the man, the fight was taken to the ground. “

Andre Berto, a two-time welterweight champ, confirmed to TMZ Sports in 2014 that Brown has a penchant for boxing. He stated that he trained with Brown over the years and that his hands are “all right.” Berto later told the celebrity news website that Brown would mop the floor with Justin Bieber due to Brown’s size advantage.
