Following up on our last instalment of Kimbo Slice’s boxing career we take a look at the final match in his boxing career before he returned to MMA inside of the Bellator cage.

January 30th 2013 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre in New South Wales, Australia, the internet street fighting legend Kimbo Slice travelled eighteen hours to face off against Shane Tilyard. Fighting out of Brisbane, Australia he was making his thirteenth appearance in the squared circle holding a professional boxing record of 6-6, a Queensland State Boxing championship as well as having experience fighting under Muay Thai rules.

With no feeling out process, the web brawler came out swinging landing heavy leather on the hometown favourite until Shane connected with a series of left hooks which wobbled Kimbo who instinctively went for a takedown only to find himself on the mat in front of an ecstatic crowd.

After slugging it out for the remainder of round number one, the second frame saw Tilyard land another hard shot on Kimbo who again went for the double leg takedown.

Resuming the slugfest Kimbo manages to come back to steal the win with a well-timed liver shot which dropped the Aussie and counting him out giving Kimbo his seventh victory.

This would Kimbo’s last boxing appearance to date before signing with Bellator MMA.
