This is one reason you shouldn’t throw spinning s#@% when sparring with Nick Diaz!

Nick Diaz is one of the best boxers mixed martial arts has seen. He often uses it to pepper his opponents with shots until they can no longer take it, knocking them out or forcing them to take Diaz down, which is just as problematic as staying on your feet against him.

In the video below, we see Nick Diaz and Ralek Gracie getting in some boxing sparring. Diaz walks him down, taking all of Ralek’s shots while throwing and landing some of his own. Eventually, out of nowhere Gracie throws a spinning backfist, which he technically shouldn’t of as it is forbidden in boxing but he most likely just didn’t know.

There isn’t much of a commotion made about it and the two continue sparring, but you have to wonder if what happens next is Nick getting back at Ralek a little. Just a few exchanges later, Nick perfectly times a left hook to the body that practically drops Ralek, bringing an end to the round, if not the sparring session.
