Recently retired Floyd Mayweather dominated the world of boxing for many years, becoming world champion in multiple promotions and multiple weight classes, is ranked by BoxRec as the fifth greatest pound-for-pound fighter of all-time, and eventually finished his career undefeated. There are few athletes who reach the grand level of success achieved by boxing champ Floyd Mayweather. There are perhaps even fewer who are as reviled despite their achievements, fame and accolades.

Rapper and record producer T.I., while somewhat lesser known than Mayweather, is still quite successful in his own right. He has released nine solo albums, acted in several major motion pictures, is CEO of the popular Grand Hustle Records and also produced records by successful artists Young Jeezy and Gucci Mane.

The two men ran afoul one another on May 25, 2014 at a Fatburger restaurant on the Las Vegas strip.

The word on the street is that, despite his reputation for having a big mouth, Floyd Mayweather was simply eating and minding his own business when he was confronted by T.I., who eventually took a swing at him.

What happened next was a chaotic scene that involved chairs being thrown, a Fatburger employee being slashed on the abdomen, and police being called.

The quote of the evening of course came from Mayweather, who suggested T.I. control [his] b!^$#, indicating that a situation involving T.I.’s wife was the reason for the dispute.

In the end, no one was arrested and no charges were filed.
