This YouTube bare knuckle brawl features Decca ‘The Machine’ Heggie taking on ‘The Leicester Bulldog.’ Decca is the guy with the hair and ‘The Bulldog’ is the bald fellow.

One of the first things that pop out to me in this one is how small the ring is. These guys have no room to maneuver and are essentially ‘fighting in a phone booth.’ Though very few bare knuckle brawlers are known to stick and move I’d assume. They’re right in each other’s face from the start.

The Bulldog starts out as the aggressor while ‘The Machine’ patiently waits for his opening and eventually drops his opponent early on with a big right hook. He’s not done yet though as he gets up and charges right back in there but doesn’t land much.

We then start to see Decca land some pretty good straight punches, landing a good jab then following it up with a good one, two and it looks like he may be the better boxer here and then WHAM! he lands a huge right hand that drops the Bulldog at one minute, twenty-eight seconds in.

It’s pretty amazing that the Leicester Bulldog is able to get up from that shot. You’ve got to give him credit for heart and toughness after eating that shot, that punch would finish most people.

It is quite clear after that big punch lands that Decca is the much better boxer here. He is even able to display some good circular movement despite the tiny confines of the ‘hay-walled’ fighting area. The only thing the Leicester Bulldog is able to show is his heart and toughness and he does have his moments but Decca is able to absorb it and move away.

The fight finally ends seven minutes in after a solid two punch combination puts down the Leicester Bulldog finally, ending his suffering and awarding Decca ‘The Machine’ Heggie the victory by knockout.
