A sound knowledge of Jiu-Jitsu can make all the difference in a street fight situation, as this video demonstrates.
The altercation is believed to have taken place in Russia between a man from Kyrgyzstan in the white t-shirt, and his rival from Tajikistan in the beige top and blue Adidas track pants.
When the fight begins, white-shirt immediately ducks under a telegraphed haymaker from his onrushing opponent and executes a body lock takedown.
Note that he lands in side control, which prevents his opponent from getting the leverage required to finish his guillotine choke attempt.

White-shirt takes his time, then smoothly steps over into full mount and fires off a series of hard, bare knuckle right hands to his rival’s head.
Not liking that one bit, beige-shirt rolls onto his front, eating a couple of extra punches as he does so.
As they scramble, beige-shirt ends up turtled on his knees, and then on his side, but his opponent is able to stay on top.
White-shirt then knees him in his back, and gets aggressive with a couple of headbutts, followed by hammer-fists.
He settles down, patiently waiting for the right moment, then passes to full mount again before going back on the attack.
The only damage white-shirt takes throughout the whole encounter is his own doing as he mistakenly punches the ground during another flurry of strikes, but he doesn’t appear to be phased by it.
Beige-shirt is in deep trouble at this stage, but luckily for him the fight suddenly comes to an abrupt conclusion as police arrive on-scene and everyone scatters in different directions.
White-shirt may not have had time to deliver a decisive finish in this fight, but his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills ensured that he was in complete control of his opponent from start to finish.
