Every sport has a culture that surrounds it. In golf, it’s khaki pants and sweater vests and talking about business and the weather. In mixed martial arts, the culture is not uncommonly tattoos and hot women.
Top athletes in MMA are often in shape, tough, and can be the type of guy who attracts beautiful women, including ones who make their living off their looks in a very direct fashion – adult movies. This list is of several notable MMA fighters who have dated a porn star:
Rob McCullough
‘Razor’ Rob McCullough was the former WEC lightweight champion who fought as a professional mixed martial artist for a decade, starting in 2001. McCullough also was one of the sport’s best stand-up strikers, with a professional kickboxing record of 11-1 dating back to 1998. In 2009, McCullough married porn star Lexxi Tyler (born Kristina Flores); the two have two sons together.
Razor and Lexxi divorced in May of 2020. McCullough is now engaged to retired pro fighter and current FightCamp trainer Shanie “Smash” Rusth.
War Machine
War Machine (formerly Jon Koppenhaver) was a member of The Ultimate Fighter season 6, and even fought once in the Octagon, a loss to Yoshiyuki Yoshida at UFC 84. And he has a long, terrible history with adult film star Christy Mack (born Christine Mackinday). In the spring of 2013, Machine met Mack on a photoshoot and began dating. The two even lived together, and the fighter eventually appeared in 13 adult videos himself.
Their story has a deeply disturbing ending, with a history of horrific violence perpetrated on Mackinday and others by War Machine. In 2017, Koppenhaver was sentenced to life in prison with a possibility of parole after 36 years. His earliest release date is in 2053.
Chuck Liddell
Chuck Liddell was at one time the face of the UFC and one of its biggest crossover stars. “The Iceman” dominated the UFC light heavyweight division starting in 2006, winning fifteen of his seventeen fights in the Octagon. Liddell was married to bombshell Heidi Northcutt for a decade; they have two sons together. However, prior to settling down, Liddell was legendary for his partying, as well as his fighting, and was seen with too many beautiful women to count. At one point, Liddell was linked to porn star Jayden James (born Michele Lee Mayo).
Liddell and Northcutt are currently in divorce proceedings.
Tito Ortiz
When it comes to porn star girlfriends, Tito Ortiz is the leader of the pack. Not only did he wife a porn star, but he landed the most famous female porn star of all time, in Jenna Jameson (born Jenna Marie Massoli). In a 2006 interview with Howard Stern, Ortiz officially announced that the two were an item in a monogamous relationship, and that she was no longer acting in porn. The two were together for eight years and are parents to twin boys, Jesse Jameson and Journey Jett.
Ortiz and Jameson separated in 2013, and Ortiz was awarded sole custody of their children. For nearly a decade, Ortiz has dated model and former UFC Octagon girl Amber Nichole Miller.
Why this porn star will never date an MMA fighter
Although several fighters have forged relationships with women in the porn industry, one porn performer, Kristina Rose (born Tracey Quinn Perez), will never date an MMA fighter, and here’s why:
I refuse to date a man that chooses to spend a majority of his ‘off time’ surrounded by and touching other sweaty men at the gym,” she told fightersonlymag.com. “It’s a extra No Go if u roll around on a mat barefoot with another man for fun. (Crossfit / Jiu-Jitsu / MMA) = SUS.
Why is it that almost all male performers like to surround themselves with sweaty men at the gym on their off time. Like that’s all they do. Often opting to roll around barefoot with them on a mat covered in other men’s sweat. That’s sus.
This is also the reason why I am not really a fan of MMA. Straight men should never be touching each other all over their bodies when they are barefoot. Not unless they’re f@$%ing. Mainstream boxing is a corrupt sport now but at least they are really fighting.
I feel like MMA is aggressive groping for men that keep their gay side repressed. You can’t get married everywhere but it’s cool to be gay now. You can come out of hiding.
And lastly, why this porn star wants to date an MMA fighter
People, movies, and TV shows that become popular are often parodied in adult films. MMA is not immune. Ronda Rousey is one of the biggest names ever in MMA, and then successfully transitioned into a monster Hollywood and WWE career. In 2015, Kleio Valentien (born Kleio Valentien) starred in the adult film ‘Ronda Arouse-Me’ which parodied the UFC star and her fights with Miesha Tate. She also spoke to Submission Radio about the film and her interest in dating Rousey herself:
Rousey is not inclined in that direction, and has been happily married since 2017 to retired heavyweight Travis Browne. They have a girl named La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne, born on April 21, 2021.
